Preserving archive when moving a camera to another server🔗

Starting with version 3.2, in Eocortex multiserver systems, when moving a camera from one server to another, the archive on the original server remains available for viewing.

Warning

Viewing the archive from the previous server is only available in the Eocortex Client application.

In a multiserver system, when moving a camera from one server to another, the archive is not moved, but remains accessible provided that the previous server is accessible from the client computer (if the server is not directly accessible, use a proxy connection). If the camera is subsequently moved to a third server, viewing the archive on the first server may become unavailable.

Important

After moving the camera to the server, changes to the archive depth on it apply to both the current server and the previous one.

Note

Example:

If you move a camera for which archive recording was enabled from Server 1 to Server 2, it will be possible to view the archive from Server 2 and the archive recorded on Server 1 in the Eocortex Client application.

When moving such a camera to Server 3, the archive from Server 1 will become unavailable. To view the archive recorded on Server 1, you will need to move the camera back to that server.
