Complementary Pack of Drivers for Cameras and Devices (DevicePack)🔗
Along with new versions of Eocortex Server and Client software, an additional separately distributed pack of drivers for cameras and devices (DevicePack) is provided. This package is primarily intended to ensure backward compatibility with previous versions of the Eocortex Server software. Using the package to get support for new cameras and devices without updating the Eocortex Server / Client / Standalone applications is not recommended.
DevicePack is installed in a separate directory (default: C:\Program Files\Eocortex IP Device Pack), so it can always be uninstalled without affecting other Eocortex packages.
DevicePack must be installed on the computer with Eocortex Server or Standalone. In case of installation on a multiserver system, the package should be installed on each server. If the Connect via server option is disabled for individual cameras in the Configurator application, then DevicePack must also be installed on all computers where these cameras are viewed using the Eocortex Client.
Eocortex Server / Client / Standalone interacts with the DevicePack as follows — it checks at startup whether the DevicePack is installed on this computer and then:
If installed: drivers and native settings for cameras and devices from the DevicePack folder will be used to interact with cameras and devices.
If not installed: drivers and native settings for cameras and devices from the Eocortex Server / Client / Standalone installation folder will be used.
