Using Modbus protocol to communicate with I/O devices🔗

Modbus is a standard protocol that is used in the Eocortex Configurator application for controlling the inputs and outputs of devices not listed in the vendor list.

Warning

Not all devices support the Modbus protocol.

Connecting to the device is the same as connecting to the camera. In the Brand field, select Modbus. If there are changes to the default device settings, it is necessary to specify them in the advanced stream settings, as shown in the image below.

The image shows the default values of the parameters.

Available parameters for setting:

  • SlaveId: Device identifier. The default value is 1. It must match the set value on the device.

  • InputsСount, OutputsCount: The number of inputs/outputs on the device. It can take a value of 0. The default value is 16.

  • InputAdress, OutputAddress: Address of the first I/O register from which to request ports. The default value is 0.
