Configuring the Fire and Smoke Detection module🔗
To use the module, enable and configure it.
Launch the Eocortex Configurator, go to the
Cameras tab, select a camera in the list located on the left side of the page, and set up the motion detector on the Motion detector tab on the right side of the page.
Then switch to the Analytics tab and enable the module using the
toggle.
Clicking the
button opens the module setup window.
In the opened settings window, select the needed detection options: Smoke and / or Fire.
Select detection algorithm:
Based on motion detector
Based on neural networks
Note
The Based on neural networks algorithm provides higher detection accuracy.
Warning
To use the Based on motion detector mode, it is necessary to enable the motion detector.
Warning
To use the Based on neural networks mode, it is necessary to install the neural networks package. The video card and processor must meet the requirements for the module.
When smoke is detected, it is necessary to select the mode in which it will be detected:
Sedentary smoke: a mode for the better smoke detection at a great distance from the camera.
Movable smoke: a mode for the better detection of close smoke when the smoke changes rapidly.
Detection area is the zone of the frame filled with the semitransparent blue fill in the settings window. The mouse is used for modifying the zone: the left mouse button serves for filling the zone, and the right one is used for clearing it. With the help of the Fill and Clear buttons, the whole area of the frame be can filled or cleared. The corresponding slider is used to modify the Brush size.
Note
For successful detection, the center of the smoke and/or fire bounding box must be located within the detection zone specified in the module settings. If the center of the frame is outside this zone, the smoke and/or fire will not be detected.
Note
A single detection zone is configured for both smoke and fire.
Warning
The module will start working only when the settings are applied.
