Using Eocortex Client on multiple monitors🔗

Eocortex Client application can be used on multiple monitors.

Note

Until version 4.4, Eocortex Client could be run on multiple monitors only in full-screen mode (if the Window mode option is disabled in the workstation settings on the Interface tab).

Since version 4.4 Eocortex Client can be run on multiple monitors in both full-screen and window modes.

Note

This feature is available for all Eocortex licenses and requires no additional licensing.

Note

Using Eocortex Client on multiple monitors in window mode is available on supported Windows and GNU/Linux operating systems.

Setting window mode on multiple monitors🔗

To use multiple monitors in window mode:

  1. Go to Workstation settings.

  1. On the Interface tab, select the Window mode option:

  1. Go to the Monitors tab.

  2. Select multiple monitors from the available ones:

Note

The Alarm monitor and Overview monitor can be configured for the workstation as required.

  1. Click the Save settings button. After restarting, Eocortex Client application will open on multiple monitors in window mode.

Warning

It is recommended to turn off Allow H.264 decoding on video card the option to avoid possible problems in the operation of the processor and Eocortex Client application:

Usage🔗

  • After the settings are applied, when opening the Eocortex Client application, the windows configured for the current workplace will open on the monitors. The next time the application is opened, the windows will be opened in window mode on the monitors they were on when the application was closed.

  • After the settings are applied, Eocortex Client application windows open in full-screen. The windows can be minimized, moved, resized.

  • The number of open windows depends on the number of monitors selected in the Monitors tab.

Warning

In Eocortex Client application, the number of open windows can't be higher than the number of monitors configured for the workstation.

  • If the Window mode option is turned on, the window mode will be applied to all application windows.

  • If closing one of the Eocortex Client application windows, the windows on all monitors in use will be closed. This action is accompanied by confirmation from the user:

  • If the Eocortex Client application window was minimized, then after restarting the application it will open in maximized view.

Warning

It is not recommended to move Eocortex Client application windows between monitors connected to different video cards. The stability of the window mode on multiple monitors is not guaranteed in such cases.

Warning

If Eocortex Client windows are opened on multiple monitors connected to the same computer, then when changing the order of monitors in the system settings on Windows OS, these windows after restarting Eocortex Client may not open on the monitors on which they were opened before changing the system settings.
