Video export🔗
Eocortex Player is able to export video fragments to files of the following formats:
MCM: Eocortex internal file format.
Files of this format can be viewed only in the Eocortex Player application.
The main advantage of exporting to MCM format is the speed of exporting, which is several times faster than exporting to AVI due to the fact that no frame conversion is performed during export. Export speed primarily depends on the performance of the archive disk.
Also, it is possible to export the recordings of several cameras into one file, with the possibility of their further simultaneous viewing.
AVI: Commonly available format.
This file format can be viewed in most video players. AVI is a video container with full transcoding of the video stream for overlaying timestamps on frames. The timestamps are perfectly correct.
The export speed is low (50-70 frames per second) and primarily depends on the performance of the CPU.
MP4 without timestamps: Another commonly available file format.
Export to an MP4 video container is performed without transcoding the video stream.
Does not impose timestamps on frames.
The export speed is comparable to the export speed to MCM (700-800 fps). Export speed primarily depends on the performance of the archive disk.
MP4: The same format as above, but in this particular case, the video is transcoded to impose timestamps on frames.
Timestamps may not correspond to reality (permissible error is 1-2 seconds).
Export speed is significantly inferior to export without transcoding, but outperforms AVI export (300-400 fps). Export speed primarily depends on CPU performance.
